Old Business:
ID Badges – Jeanne stated that the rest of the Elliott System will be coming since the
RHSOC voted to pay for the rest of the system.
Training:
Hazmat – nothing at this time.
MERIS – John Christiansen will be attending training on October 3.
Elliot System – other half will be coming according to Jeanne.
Water Association Emergency Response Workshop – Jerry and John are going to
Camdenton.
EOC Management & Operations – Class will be October 15 & 16 in
Warrensburg. John Christiansen and Jeanne Millsap will attend.
Faith Based Initiative – John Christiansen attended.
Conferences:
2008 Crisis Communications Conference is October 8- 10. John Christiansen,
John Gover and Jeanne Millsap will be attending.
Agro-security Conference – October 7-8, no one will be attending.
HAZMAT Symposium – December 11-14 Jeanne is planning to attend.
Mutual Aid Agreements need to get in to John. He has 35%. The county has 82% as a
whole. NIMS training needs to be caught up and MOU’s are needed. John will
check with the Commissioners’ to see were they are and start working on them. Other parts of the information due to SEMA by September 15 were Interoperability and Incident Command. Jerry requested a copy of the MOU for radios – Jeanne will e-mail it to him.
Update on EOP – John Christiansen did a review with Candy Adams, new segment on
sheltering, just putting it together and then will send it to her.
HAM Radio net – Steve Pierce is running the net from his car until the hospital is set up.
On 9/8/08 there were 7 checked in, on 9/15/08 10 checked in, and 9/22/08 9
checked into the net. More St. Clair County HAM Operators are asked to check
in.
Sheltering – Sheila Ash needs a copy of what we have so she can start putting together
shelters for St. Clair County. Jeanne will send a list via e-mail. Sites list of past.
Sites in past don’t meet criteria of today’s shelter requirements.
GETS Cards – John Christiansen redid these. Jerry Hart requested the website – John
gave it to him before the end of the meeting.
Bio-Terrorism/Pandemic Influenza: – Jeanne Millsap shared the SEMA EMD Bulletin
with Jerry Hart. Jeanne also gave Jerry an e-mail on a new online tool that
estimates resources needed for emergency response for Hospital Surge Model at www.ahrq.gov/prep/. MOU’s for SNS ordering/delivery are being worked on and must be done by December 31st for her to turn into DHSS.
Grants – John Christiansen stated there are no new grants. Finished the grant year, new
requirements and they are complex, need receipts.
By-Laws: John Christiansen stated that Candy Adams had reviewed them and changes
are not needed.
EOC Exercise is needed. Would like to do a tabletop. It was discussed and decided that it would be done in February with the date determined in January. Motion was made by Jerry Hart with a second from Steve Pierce, all in favor but Larry Gates.

RHSOC meeting report was given earlier in this meeting.
Newspaper Articles on Emergency Management was discussed. John Christiansen will write articles weekly with the first article to be an introduction to emergency management; the second to be about FEMA; the third to be about SEMA; the fourth to be about LEPC (local); and several others on law, fire, communications – HAM Radio, sheltering, public health, etc. for several months.
